An Ending of Sorts

This site hasn't been updated for over a year now. It's been offline for several months.

The very simple reason for the extended silence from Planet Vertebrate being the fact the Angie, one half of the team that was Vertebrate, died in July 2009.

She died from breast cancer that spread to her brain. She was 34 years old.

You can read Tom Steinberg's obituary to her on MySociety's blog, and a touching tribute from Adam Richardson, our friend colleague, on his Tuners Group Site.

My own feelings on the loss of my beautiful wife and talented partner seem to have all been best expressed on my photostream at Flickr:

I Suppose...

Obviously, without Angie, Vertebrate's story is almost over.

Almost.

There's still the matter of the dozens of sites that we have built and continue to run and the collection of clients that we have served and supported over the last 11 years. And of course, there's Weblobe.

I'll be posting some news about Vertebrate's future here very soon...
