Exactly What We Do

We're a small team. We don't have a business plan that involves dominating the web development market of this, or any other, hemisphere. Consequently, we're specialists. We stick to what we know. And what we know, we know well.

Our Clientside coding is written by hand in the most excellent BBEdit, we endeavour to create standard compliant HTML and CSS that takes advantage of modern browsers capabilities, without failing too horribly in older browsers. Most recent work is also intended to support xHTML standards.

Dynamic whistles and bells are lovingly hand-crafted in JavaScript by Naf.

Graphic artwork and initial layouts are all created in Adobe Photoshop.

Our serious, server-side programming is done in Perl (mod_perl to be specific).

The databases that are behind our new generation of sites are frighteningly fast mySQL databases.

We host all of our sites on Linux or FreeBSD boxes running Apache.

That's what we do: HTML, XHTML, CSS, JavaScript, Perl, mySQL. We know Macs generally, we're very rapidly (and happily) getting to know Linux and BSD Unix.

We have other skills lurking on the periphery, but don't consider ourselves to have sufficient expertise to sell them as services. Yet.

We don't do ASP or PHP. We no longer (thankfully) provide support or development for FileMaker Pro.

We don't provide support or technical expertise for any Microsoft products or server technologies, of course our sites are compatible with Internet Explorer ;)

Valid HTML 4.01! Valid CSS!
