The twisted,
and potentially offensive, montages that litter the Overground website
are the product of Mark Love's darker side.
Many obsessive
hours, and a staggering number of waiting room magazines have gone into
creating images that tend to provoke, above all, the question 'Why?.
As yet this
question has gone unanswered.
It may surprise
many in this digital age, but all of these images were created manually
by way of many scalpel blades, a deeply scarred cutting mat and more
glue than is considered good for you.
Mark has
so far resisted all attempts to teach him the joys of Photoshop. Admittedly,
none of these attempts have been particularly determined, but consideration
must be given to the fact that a very dark and obsessive individual,
armed with a very sharp scalpel, can make for a difficult student.
Some of
the montage components are drawn from original photographed, many are
ruthlessly ripped from glossy magazines and newspapers.
We would
like to point out these montages are not a commercial enterprise, or
an attempt to undermine the precarious living eked out by professional
photographers.
They are
here to provoke outrage, hysteria and confusion. Or maybe just wry smiles.
If you,
the reader, happen to hold the copyright on one of the montage components
and happen to deeply offended by its presence on this website, please
e-mail us and we will instantly
and quietly remove the offending pixels.
Thank you.
