Phase One:
The specification called for a site that would include current news from the publisher alongside a full database of the artists that they represent and another database containing full information on all of the songs whose rights they manage.
Phase One, the company info and news publishing system, includes a content management system that allows the site's editor to publish and update the information. Conveniently, this publishing system is designed to be used by an editor that has no experience or knowledge of HTML or FTP.

Phase Two:
Phase Two was finished in February 2002 and not only includes a full database of Bucks' composers, but an extension that allows the composers and artists themselves to publish their own news and information.
Phase Three:
Phase Three was completed in 2004 and includes one of the most complex databases we've built that interlinks all the information they hold on a songs' rights, credits, master recordings, history and artists, along with downloadable MP3s.
As far as we're aware very few music publishers have such complete and cunningly interconnected databases. And if they do, they're certainly not making them available on the web. As you may imagine, we're pretty proud of this site, and extremely proud of the underlying data structure that allows it all to happen.
Bucks Music Group Jukebox
Phase Three.5:
In 2005 we added a Jukebox function to the site, allowing Bucks to share some of their new talent with the world. Rick Oliver's excellent debut album was among the first to use the jukebox, giving us a great opportunity to test the system under very heavy loads. So far, so good...
